Well, if you have to pay to go there, you might as well buy them from Bird World! We are going to go to Saltair tomorrow. It's only two bucks to go there! I am going to use our pond net, 'cause it has a long handle. There are a lot of HUGE spiders there! |

| yea i bought my last culture from bw, but i was down there yesterday and they had none left. i talked to someone a while back that told me of another way to get out to the lake, something like taking 300 west through west haven and it should put me right in the water. |

Plug your nose! Ok, here are some pics of my set up now. But, wait till you see the new set up! This is kinda embarrassing, though. I love my back room, but it looks really bad in photos! And, I built this setup with scrap stuff I had on hand, so it is a bit ugly. My new one will be better, I think. The room will still look bad, though... |

This "tank" is about 2 gallons, maybe . Around 8 inches wide, 6 tall. The water just drips from the big reef tanks overflow, and drains into the sump. I have an airline in it to move the water around and add o2 and disperse co2. It stays very stable. I have tried having a seperate tank for these fish but for me, this is much easier. Tiny tanks change so quickly, you know? If I don't check the salinity every day, it changes. |

It is just 1/8inch acrylic, from the scrap bin at Regional. It is ugly but functional, and it was free! My new one will be cooler but the room will still be ugly! I wish I could figure out a way to bring it out into the front room. But, I would have to run an extension cord across the floor and have a dumb air pump making noise when we are watching movies..... |

| Both. It has piece of bridal veil netting inside the bulkhead, but the fry can sit inside it without getting pulled in. It does gets clogged, though and I have to use my fingernail to clean it once in a while. |

| ok well i am going to get the basics here in a little bit i will post pics then i will have to get stuff to run my brine culture, i saw on antelope island they have a 55 with 4 inch sandbed and prolly 6-8 inches of water with 2-4 airstones on the back wall and a heater, they had tons of brineshrimp in there. everything from adults to babies all breeding and reproducing and doing their thing. i wonder if i could do this with say a 5 gal or even 20? |

Sure. I use a old 2 gallon tank I am not using anymore. With food, the adult shrimp have live naupuli, then the naupuli grow into adults in around 14 days, depending on temp. Very easy to have a continuous culture. Is this a good time to plug an AA article? http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2008/3/bre...=brine%20shrimp |
