rotifers do jump! Or at least the cysts do. I had a 5 liter pitcher/beaker on a shelf above my office desk to my left and I had a 5 gallon bucket of tiger pods under my desk to the right with a lid! Even though I was very careful I may have cross contaminated it but the tiger pod culture ended up with rotifers.

That's why Suzy hates the rotifers. I had that happen to me. One rotifer contanimanition is all it takes.
