Hi

Hi

Sorry that I always take so long to answer.
But the job comes first.
Especially at the end of the month there is always all the paperwork that needs to be done.

Vibrio bacteria can be checked in a TCBS medium.
The down side of the medium is however it shows the good vibrio bacteria as well.

INVE has a test for 2 pathogenic kinds that show up the most in breeding fish and shrimp.

Ouote:
"Diagnosis of vibrio and identifying of V. harveyi and V. campbelli, which are the main pathogenic germs for vibrio in shrimp and fish.... [and so on]
Until recently usually the diagnosis of viral and bacterial germs needed very complicated measures in a lab by specially trained personal.
Since it took 1 week or longer for getting a diagnosis the diagnosis came post mortem. That made it impossible to do something. The result was that most disease out breaks went without diagnosis.

This new generation of testing strips is easy to use gives dependable result within 15 minutes."

I hope these tests will be available in Germany soon.

Regards Sylvio
Sorry for the delay in translation, but we had a few health problems at home. John has not been able to do anything because of a nasty eye infection. He had a foreign object stuck in the cornea of the eye which caused a secondary infection affecting both eyes. He was almost blind for the past 2 weeks. So I had my hands pretty full. He is recovering nicely now and everything should be ok in a few days.
