Phytopaste is enough for copepods because they already carry some nutrition. Brine shrimp are considered empty shells once the egg sac is gone, so whatever their last meal was, is what is carried to whatever is eating them. I don't hatch bs twice a day. I always try and take advantage of the 4 hour egg sac though. Don, I think it should say on the Super Selco bottle what the minimum time is to enrich them, I can't remember off hand. Since I have pods, I'm not waiting around for the bs to be enriched. So I usually let them sit overnight with the Super Selco. |

No, enriching copepods or any pods. They come completely enriched! I leave the enrichment in with my BBS at least a half hour before feeding. But, now I hatch large amounts only every few days, and let the hatched BBS live in phyto paste (just a tiny bit) all the time. Saves time for me, plus on the days I work I don't have time to fuss with the fishes.... |

The dwarf seahorses are doing great and all seem to be eating, it was great getting the bonus of a few babies (one of the dads gave birth in route). The dwarf pipe fish are really cool and eating like pigs. The palm plants were nice sized and in good shape, I had to be very carful and clean them off well, they had alot of hitchikers on them. I was very pleased with the order, thank you Shane for putting the order together. Don |

Excellent order. I was very satisfied as well. Lots of baby dwarf seahorses and one baby pipefish! Don's going to become an expert at dwarf pipefish when this is all over. I'm keeping DaveO's order for a week until he can get down here. I'm not thrilled with some of his snails. I can't keep them in the tank. All 5 of them crawled out asap and refuse to stay in. Those were the ones that he was shorted. I hope they make it until he can take them home. The jawfish is pretty scared, I haven't seen it eat yet. Everything else looks great. I couldn't get one of the things off of the plastic, some weird roachy looking thing, so I just cut around it and put the plastic in with it. He ordered some strange stuff. (I think he said it was a chiton) I want to order a couple of anemone shrimp next time, I love Dave's. It has eggs, so I'm going to see if I can collect them. Too bad he didn't get 2. |

LOL, You can keep the anemone shrimp until you get the eggs if you want. I should have gotten 2! I bought one there in Centerville a few months ago but one of the pH spikes took it out. I can arrange a pickup on friday if you will be around. |
