Exploring Cephalods

I know. The book I just read said that. All the cephalopods have a short lifespan. Sad, but I hope I can get them to breed.

I can get a case of ghost shrimp, and keep them alive for quite a while, but you are right, they are a pricey endeavor. I am hoping with the other live food I am growing, I can supplement the ghost ( they are freshwater and not the best for my marine fish, right?) with other crabs and the like.

Is Richard Ross on Reefs.org? Is he Thales?

yeah, he is Thales. I think he uses the same name on Reef central and tonmo, I think you can also get his number from MASNA. But you should really go into the Aquarium and talk to Nick first. He will give you a lot of insight as to how to hatch them and what to feed first.

Hope you don't mind, I just contacted Thales to ask him if he sells cuttlefish eggs. I wasn't sure if you had tracked him down and I knew where to find him. Hopefully he will respond soon.

I just heard back from Thales. He's not raising anything right now. He says the best place to find cuttlefish eggs is to go to tonmo.com. Sorry, I was hoping for better news.

SWEEEEEET! I got 4 eggs! They look like grapes.

I need to make some new nurseries so I can get some photos. All my nurseries are scratched, covered in crappy coraline, and I can't scrape off the reg algae....

2 out of 4 have hatched! They are very tiny, but not as tiny as seahorse fry. I now need to find a nursery to put them in. They are in a critter keeper, but that won't hold the live food in. But, all my nurseries won't let me take photos of them!
