Even more nerdy, mollusk is a huge clade and is probably comprised of more than one branch of the tree of life. It is kind of a catch all clade.

Does a UV sterilizer kill larvae? I can add the UV light upstream, and hope most of the larvae stays in the tank.

So, I found the coolest thing yesterday. This little white floatie was in the water column. It almost looked like a tiny white seahorse poop, so of course I had to check it out under the microscope. It was this funky curly tube, with tiny little red things moving inside it! My scope is not that great and I was afraid I would kill it if I put a cover on it, so I could only see it at the lowest resolution. Whatever it was, they were moving....

I hope they are cowries!
