Hi Everybody :) :) I just got 4 cuttle eggs on thursday from the Aquairum and order 8 more and recieved them on wednesday!!! 2 hatched on tuesday and 1 hatched today its awesome!!!! I have not seen them eat yet but no worries they usually take a few days!! I have trade copepodes and large brine!! I need some mysis!!!! I have raised cuttles before but have had not very good success rate!! :X There is not alot of information out there on raising cuttles!! So i hope to do a awesome forum on how to raise Sepia bandensis!! That goes more into the home aquairum care for them and a better knowledge of what they require!!!! I hope this will be a great forum!!! Does anyone want to go in on a order of live mysis, mysid!! or has some I want to start a good culture!!! Thanks Adam |

Welcome, Andy! We have a common interest! I am not sure if I want to buy a new culture of mysis shrimp. I think they might be the same ones I have. But, I do wonder if there are different species available. Mine are very tiny, much smaller than the frozen ones I get from Hakari. Do you have a place in mind to get them from? Your eggs look just like mine! I am feeding mine tiny copepods, which I can get you a start of, and show you how to grow them. I am going to supplement with baby brine enriched with selco and vitamins. The information I have read about seahorse fry and nutrition states that we need to feed the copepods for the first few days, then they can live off bbs. I hope this is true for these tiny things too! BTW, who is Chad? |

They're way expensive so i would I would like to start to culture them!!!! I have read alot about the breeding of mysis and its sounds very challanging!!! But its duable!!!!! :) Brine do not work for a good food source??? There is more literature on the care for cuttles so Im finding out more and more what needs to be done to be successful!!!??? There a crazy specimen and need to be recognized!!!!!! I would like to come get some food form you tomorrow!! To get them through till I make a order!!! Do you have any amphiods they are a good size for them at first!!! Or the smaller mysis would be great!! Let me know what u have available Thanks soo much!!! :) |

| Call me? I think we need to start with copepods. The amphopod adults are pretty much the same size as my newborns... |

I think they are stronger if they hatch later, They have been in an optimal environment! I still have not seen mine eat. Do you think I am feeding too much? |

Good? Did you use my netting trick? There is a constant addition of food for my nursery. The water flow comes from my main display, so there is a yummy snack just waiting to be drawn into the nursery. But, this morning they are active, and look bigger. All except one. It is white and smaller. I might isolate him.. |
