I am thinking of ordering from here. Did these end up doing well?

I ordered 4 females from them. One of them grew a pouch so I ended up with 3 females! But they are healthy and good eaters. I give them a thumbs up!

But be cautious about ordering anything else from them. I ordered their Tetraselmis which had very few actually Tet cells in it, and what was in was un definable. And, the mysis came half dead, and the second half was dead the next day.

Good seahorses, bad cultures.....

Good idea! H erectus are weird. I would hate to have you lose what you have when you get the new ones. But, it will be a long time before I have any available. My fish are just not cooperating!

But, what if you could find more of the species you have? Do you know what they are? I have a really cool ID guide.

The two I have are Kellogii. I have heard they seem to have problems. With summer comming maybe I don't want to have too many tanks to keep cool. Keep me in mind when your horses decide to pony up.

I think the reason so many of this species have issues is the captive breeding and the small genetic diversity. This spp is not from our shores, and there were very few available before the CITES regs changed in 2005.

So, can you see any pouches? Are they really small?

Feed them a good food ( I use PE and Hikari frozen mysis, and enriched brine shrimp). If any of them stop eating after they have been eating well, let me know? If any start swimming abnormally, let me know quick, OK? There is a very specific to seahorse dzz that can be cured if treated early.

Is this your only tank? Do you have another with a sump?

It is really hard to determine size(their tail is over half of them). The two larger ones may be about 4"+. The new ones are closser to 3 but there is a huge difference in body size. The two I have had for longer seem to be female. I suppose the others are too small(at least I hope so or I have 5 females).
Thanks, I will let you know if I see problems.
I have two tanks with sumps, and plenty of other tanks to work with(I have a garage full).
So far I have only seen them eat live bugs in the tank(have not swown interest in baby brine shrimp). I put some brine in green water to put a little size on them.

Are they snicking at frozen?

You can put a piece of mesh in the sump of your other tanks to get some yummy snacks for them. But, keep offering frozen. If they don't eat it, let me know. I know some tricks!
