I use 3 cc/ml for each gallon of new sw I make for my cultures. If you are talking about adding f2 to already bloomed alga cultures, I usually do not go that route. If I have a super busy week and I am afraid a culture will die if I let it go more day, I do sometimes add a cc or two but, I try to plan ahead so I am restarting new cultures with fresh water and not trying to stave off a crash!

What is the f/2 that you have? The powder or a liquid?

Thanks Suzy, that's what I wanted to know. Do you put the 3cc in the gallon of water and just store it that way until you use it? I have these 3 phyto's that I received and I haven't even set them up yet because I'm worried about screwing it up. I'm going to boil the saltwater before adding it. Plus, I've got some airfilters to try as well. I've ordered a new air pump, but it's not here yet...I'm kind of waiting for it. It has a 'pre-valve' that I can put a filter on as well. I was going to make that carbon/cotton filter to put on it. I really thought it would show up today, but it hasn't yet.

I don't save the water after I mix it. I am afraid of spores in the air or in the jug or wherever they magically appear from. I mix up what I need and if there is any leftover, I just pour it in my reef. My macros need the fertilizer so it is all good...+

I have no idea. It's from Reed Mariculture, but I can't find any reference to it on their website.
