I think this is the way to go for me! I have it down to easy peasy now. I make up a bucket of water, fill as many 2l bottles that 5 gallons will make, then set them aside until I need them. Then, as I use a bottle, I add that same bubbler to the new bottle then inoculate it the next day. The next day, I just siphon from the oldest bottle and use the rest for the day. The densities are really strong and under a microscope, I see no contaminents!

Very nice. So you are saying that it's only taking 4 days to go dark?

No, the darkest one here is 6 days. but, I am not sure if I wait longer, if I would be able to tell if it was denser or not? I would just be guessing, even under a microscope. When I put in the fafusa density ruler dodad, it disappears completely.

I would say that that is pretty dense. The only way to really tell if you are hitting the peak of its production before it declines is to use a hemocytometer and count the number of cells through the microscope. That way you can know the exact point when it starts to decline because the food source is depleted. But I think the '6-day' method is probably good enough.
