I don't know if this is the proper area to post this thread, but I have read that alot of you have microscopes. My wife and I have allways wanted to get one it doesnt have to bhat powerful, but we just think it would be fun to look at different things under. I have done alot of microbiology at Weber State, but the dept here doesnt sell any of there microscopes. Any ideas where I could get a good deal on one that would be decent, to look at tank water, pods, rotifers, scum water from some lake. I dont know I guess we are just geeks. Paul |

Check KSL.com or Ebay for a used one. I have a small, cheap student one that fits my needs. I like to look at egg strings, weird things I find in the tank, and the truly weird stuff in our pond. Do you have kids? My daughter used to go through checking out her hair, her fingernails and during her teen years, she would come to me with weird stuff she wanted to check out. You are not geeks, everything looks cooler enlarged 400%! Plus, checking the speed of algae cells rox! |

| I have always wanted one too. I used to have one when I was younger. They just don't sell them like they once did I guess. All the ones I have seen on line are hundreds of dollars. |
