I have gotten my best stock on line. Ocean Rider has good stock and guarantees they arrive alive, I believe. There is another company called seahorsesource.com. I ordered 3 from them, asked for all females and got 3 females, one male. Also, Paul Sachs Aquaculture has cb H erectus, I think. |

Didn't you just say not to get erectus because of desease(or does the desease not affect them, they only transfer to others)? Thanks for the info Suzy, I will check into those sources. Have you had any more pregnant fathers? |

The disease does not affect them, but they give it to the other species. I did not know you had other species. Sorry. I do think I might have one seahorse that might be gravid, but I have 2 with gas bubble dzz so he may have that..... |

I wish you well with the babies. What kind are they? Do they get gas bubbles often? Can you do something about it? I have a pair of blueline pipefish and the male is pregnant. I would have to completely dismantle the tank to get him out though. I am hoping I may save a few of the babies. the two appearent female hourses I have are kelogi(however you spell it). I was thinking of ordering some erectus but maybe I shouldn't(would you recomend against it. Is there anything I could to to remove the desease?). |

They are H erects us and have been getting routine pouch flushes for about 2 weeks. If they continue to have issues, I am going to put them all on a broad spectrum antibiotic. I would not mix h. Kellogi with h erectus. I do not know what it is, but 3 people I know lost their stock after adding h erects. Very experienced aquarists. Good luck with the pipefish! |
