Best Tank Stuff; You can't buy at the local fish store

Amie, I was thinking the same thing. The one he built for his nano was small but so was the nano. The last one he built for his 210 had 36 lights half white and half actinic. It cost him about $200 to make and he wants to build two more for that tank, to replace the metal halide lights he has. Total cost about $600 and they will last a lot longer and are adjustable, much better, last longer and much cheaper to run in the long run.
I am saving up some money and hope to have enough to build me one larger or maybe three about the same size as his last one. I think there may be some advantages to having more than just one so you can control the light to each fixture. The fixtures I was looking at would cost me $2000 to $3000 to buy new and would not be as good. I think a $600 LED light would not only save me money but would last longer and be more energy efficient. When I get ready to build this I will let you know and maybe we can learn how to do this together for a couple of hours time.

Watch out for the autopsy room....
Suzy I saw it all. It did smell a bit funky. They had three people showing us behind the scenes. I saw their pipefish, at least three kinds. Saw the tanks of mysis and the nudi's. Someone asked a question about something and the girl taking us around said something like A lady that works there donated those. She said she thought her name was Nancy. I said are you sure her name is not Suzy? She said, "yeah, Suzy she volunteers here, I keep getting her mixed up with a lady I know that looks a lot like her". I saw the birds and the toads and the sharks. They are raising sharks from eggs that their sharks lay. I can't wait till they build the new Aquarium. You are so lucky to be able to work there.

I forgot to check out their lights. Too much to take in and remember that was my mission.

How was the pond meeting at your house? We had hotdogs, they were good, but I like KFC more.

That sounds awesome, Larry. what...no pictures?

About the LEDs, I'd love to help. $600 is still a little too high for me, maybe when LEDs come down in price a little more I'll give it a shot.
